Grand Tasting

Grand Summer Tasting 2010
10th Anniversary Special Event
Sunday 27th June at Nunsmere Hall 4pm-7pm

Picture this: a fine late afternoon, the sun at its six o-clock orange glimmering through your glass, soft English grass underfoot, pretty ladies in white cotton frocks, (or if you prefer, handsome men in linen shirts), you, me, and the chance to taste 150 draw-dropping wines. Aaagh (the sound of a satisfied sigh, not a scream).

Whilst we can't control the weather, we can guarantee that, whether we're inside or out, we will put before you a selection of some of the greatest bottles from the most exciting talent in the wonderful world of wine. If you've previously been let down by costly 'walks on the wild side' when choosing wine, then this is a great opportunity to broaden your repertoire, to try out some different grape varieties, styles and regions, and to see what you get for your money if you go beyond your comfort zone.

Highlights from our deli will add additional colour to the proceedings, along with a few other mystery attractions...

Tickets cost £20 which will grant you unlimited access to the line-up, a 'commemorative' wine glass to take home with you, and a £10 voucher in the unlikely event that you needed any further encouragement to place an order!

Nunsmere Hall have generously offered us a very special 'BOGOF' dinner deal, available from 7pm: a three course Sunday dinner menu at £40, where two eat for the price of one. You'll be able to select a wine from a shortlist of wines featured at the tasting at our retail price to accompany your meal. They have also offered us a cracking room rate if you wanted to stay for the Sunday night, at £99 per room, including breakfast. Please book these offers direct with Nunsmere Hall on 01606 889100. (Visit their website on http://www.primahotels.co.uk/nunsmere/)

Numbers are restricted to 250, so please hit the following button to purchase tickets...

STOP PRESS: Because of England's fixture against the auld enemy at 3pm on Sunday, we have decided to extend the tasting to finish at 7.30pm. In the likely event that it goes to extra-time and penalties we shall move the finish to 8pm.
